Midge Ure

As the recipient of Ivor Novello and Grammy awards, as well as a numerous gold and platinum records, Midge Ure really needs no introduction.

In an industry where fame and fortune can be fleeting, Midge has, over 40 years, achieved major success with Slik, The Rich Kids, Thin Lizzy, Visage and Ultravox and was responsible for putting together the most famous one-off group in musical history, Band Aid.

Midge's services to both music and charity were recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list of 2005, when he was awarded an OBE. He has also received honorary doctorates from both Edinburgh and Dundee Universities, in recognition of his services to music and his work with Band Aid and Live 8.

Midge continues to tour in his own right and with the reformed Ultravox. He is also responsible for Tunited, a soon-to-be launched online resource that offers a new digital platform and tools for new and emerging artists.

Ronnie Gurr

Ronnie is our "music guru", having worked as a music industry professional since 1977.

Ronnie has previously worked in press and A&R for Virgin Records, Sony Music’s Columbia label and V2.

Acts he has previously signed or worked with include Stereophonics, Boy George and Culture Club, The Blue Nile, XTC, Simple Minds, China Crisis, Kula Shaker, Danny Wilson, Alison Moyet, Roachford and Jimmy Nail.

Stephen Cotton

By profession, Stephen is a Lawyer, specialising in contract law, with particular reference to artistic contracts.

He is also currently Chair of The Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh.

Jennifer McMullan

By profession, Jennifer is a Lawyer. Her particular interests lie in advising, drafting and negotiating contracts for emerging and existing artists within the music industry.
